The Associate Portfolio Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the loan origination and closing processes, as well as ongoing loan servicing and prospecting efforts. This position is designed for an individual who will collaborate closely with Capital Markets Officers and manage their assigned loan portfolios. The Associate Portfolio Manager will engage with various departments within the Bank, including Credit Administration/Underwriting, Legal, Participation Operations, and Senior/Executive Management. A significant aspect of this role involves working with the AgFirst District member association banks, which number 16, to facilitate their loan origination and the purchase of loans offered by the AgFirst Capital Markets team. In this position, the Associate Portfolio Manager will be responsible for presenting credit actions to the Loan Committee, approving credit actions under Delegated Authority, and executing loan documents as an Officer of the bank. This role requires a proactive approach to managing relationships with member Associations and sourcing partners, ensuring effective management of the purchased participation portfolio. The Associate Portfolio Manager will also work closely with the credit department to assist with loan underwriting and manage ongoing credit actions for a portfolio of loan participations. Collaboration with member Associations, credit departments, borrowers, attorneys, and loan servicing is essential to ensure smooth operations and successful outcomes. Additionally, the Associate Portfolio Manager will have the opportunity to mentor other team members and assist the Head of Capital Markets and management with special projects, contributing to the overall success of the Capital Markets team and the Bank as a whole.
