About the position
The Associate, Portfolio Management - Lender Finance (LF) plays a crucial role in supporting the underwriting of new transactions and managing the existing portfolio for commercial and consumer specialty finance companies. This position focuses on driving revenue growth for the bank while ensuring a scalable and well-managed business. The Associate will conduct financial analysis, assist in preparing underwriting documents, and maintain ongoing portfolio management activities.
Responsibilities
- Review financial statements, projection models, and project cash flow models to develop an analytical foundation for credit decisions.
- Conduct ongoing portfolio maintenance, including covenant compliance monitoring and quarterly risk reviews.
- Assist in the analysis and preparation for new deals.
- Conduct research and distill key themes into concise summaries for presentations.
- Manage periodic fundings for transactions in the assigned portfolio and prepare risk review tear sheets.
- Participate in due diligence meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, or equivalent experience in a similar role.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in credit analysis or portfolio management.
Nice-to-haves
- High level of professionalism.
- Highly motivated with a desire to excel in both team and individual environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Formal credit training program is a plus.
- Experience with Financial Modeling is considered a plus.
