About the position

The Associate, Practice Management at Baker Tilly plays a crucial role in supporting business operations, client engagement processes, and technology enablement within the firm. This position involves managing various administrative tasks, ensuring compliance, and facilitating training and development initiatives. The Associate will work closely with team members to enhance operational efficiency and contribute to the overall success of the practice.

Responsibilities

  • Provide backup support for job requisition requests, both domestic and offshore.
  • Create ad hoc recruiting collateral and track budgets, following up with team members as needed.
  • Support the annual CaseWare binder update process, aiming for significant ownership of the process.
  • Assist in the implementation and execution of service line platforms.
  • Collect and upload necessary documents, templates, and files.
  • Oversee and support the client acceptance process, including engagement letters and project setup.
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of BT Live development, Teams site, Smartsheet, PowerBI, and SharePoint sites.
  • Support merger integration and practice process alignment efforts.
  • Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly data audits for compliance and data cleanliness.
  • Assist with compliance support and follow-ups, including CPE and training requirements.
  • Manage delivery quality through AR & WIP call outs and tracker updates.
  • Develop client surveys for onboarding and support methodology standardization efforts.
  • Assist in managing tracking systems for potential alliance partners and technology vendors.
  • Provide hands-on support for pilots of new technology solutions and enablement efforts.
  • Coordinate and deliver onboarding and training for team members, ensuring proper logistics and content design.
  • Support learning initiatives and development of training paths for strategy areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1-3 years of corporate experience, ideally in supporting a leader and/or team.
  • Sound understanding of business operations.
  • Excellent communication skills across various levels and functions.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize workload with supervision.
  • Ability to understand firm services and business drivers, providing actionable insights.
  • Innovative thinking with a focus on process improvements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Power BI and Smartsheet.
