About the position

The Associate Principal Scientist will play a crucial role in the Translational Sciences and Outsourcing group, focusing on laboratory automation for ADME screening and quantitative measurement assays. This position involves designing, transferring, and developing automated assays while collaborating with scientists and training end users. The successful candidate will lead efforts in optimizing drug metabolism assays and champion new technologies, contributing to the advancement of healthcare solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design & operate robotic systems to validate, optimize and execute various vaccine program clinical assays on various automation platforms in a regulated environment.
• Method development, qualification/validation, and troubleshooting.
• Support pre-clinical sample analysis as needed.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on developed assays, providing technical support to internal laboratories.
• Communicate results effectively in presentations to stakeholders and participate on cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Automated Sciences, Computer Science, Biology, Chemistry or equivalent.
• Minimum of 7 years of scientific expertise with laboratory equipment in the development and execution of biological and chemical assays.
• Working knowledge of ADME screening assay and quantitative pharmacokinetic assay protocols.
• Experience with laboratory automation schedulers such as Cellario, Green Button Go or Momentum.
• Experience with Hamilton and Biosero automation is preferred.
• Ability to independently analyze and interpret experimental data.
