About the position

The selected individual will be joining the Platform Engineering Support/Onboarding and Observability Team as a technical lead. This team is dedicated to refining and automating the processes necessary to support the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). As a tech lead, the individual will collaborate with business analysts, team leads, vendors, and other developers within the OCC organization. A significant aspect of this role involves contributing to the architecture design and development of scalable, resilient hybrid Cloud-based solutions that support critical financial risk management activities. The technical lead will also mentor and collaborate with developers, architects, and product owners to drive the strategy of transforming the enterprise into a data-driven organization. This position requires innovative strategic thinking to build effective solutions and a strong ability to work well with both technical and non-technical professionals in a project environment. Additionally, the technical lead will focus on enhancing the team's technical knowledge and processes to meet industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Enable development teams to self-service build and deployment processes through process automation.
  • Assist in designing process improvements across the build, deployment, and monitoring of Clearing applications.
  • Support the maintenance and configuration of development environments in Kubernetes and AWS.
  • Support terraform, ansible, Harness, and Jenkins jobs used to instantiate and manage development environments.

Requirements

  • Programming/scripting experience in languages like Java, Bash, Python or Go.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, Docker, Compose, K8s.
  • Experience with distributed message brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Amazon Kinesis, etc.
  • Experience with cloud technologies and migrations.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps tools including Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD pipeline.
  • Experience with AWS foundational services like VPCs, Security groups, EC2, RDS, S3 ACLs, KMS, AWS CLI, and IAM.
  • Experience developing and delivering technical solutions using public cloud service providers like Amazon, Google, etc.
  • Familiarity with monitoring related tools and frameworks like Splunk, ElasticSearch, Prometheus, AppDynamics.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON RPC.
  • Experience following Git workflows.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Golang or Python is a plus.
