About the position

The Associate Print Designer (Novelty) at Kate Spade is responsible for creating illustrations and graphics for various products, collaborating closely with design teams to meet project deadlines. This role involves assisting the Novelty team throughout the design process, ensuring that the brand's aesthetic is maintained while producing high-quality artwork.

Responsibilities

• Create illustrations and graphics for products across categories.
• Present Novelty artwork and collaborate with design teams to meet deadlines.
• Assist the Novelty team in all aspects of the design process.
• Identify trends and conduct market research to stay updated on competitors.
• Create technical packages of artwork for production.
• Ensure CAD work is presentable for key meetings and ready for submission by deadlines.
• Visualize how concepts or artwork translate into products.
• Create repeats and/or artwork/graphic placements on templates.

Requirements

• 3+ years of equivalent experience in design or illustration and graphics.
• Excellent illustration and drawing skills in various mediums.
• Strong understanding of the Kate Spade brand aesthetic and ability to translate it into unique visual handwriting.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
