About the position

The Associate Private Banker (APB) at Morgan Stanley plays a crucial role in supporting Private Bankers and the Region Manager by providing product and service support within the Private Banking Group. This position focuses on assessing client opportunities, delivering cash management and lending solutions, and maintaining strong relationships with Financial Advisors and clients. The APB is also responsible for developing marketing strategies to meet revenue targets and ensuring effective communication of new products and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Private Banker(s) and Advisors to assess opportunities and provide suitable cash management and lending solutions for their clients.
  • Provide Private Banking products/solutions, distribution, and service support to Financial Advisors and their clients.
  • Establish a reputation of execution and excellence to gain the confidence of Financial Advisors and Private Bankers.
  • Assist in developing and implementing marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain adequate marketing pipelines to meet revenue targets.
  • Communicate new product and policy enhancements to Financial Advisors and branch staff.
  • Work effectively with Financial Advisors, Branch Managers, Private Bankers, and Product partners.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with an investment, commercial, or private bank.
  • 2 years of client service, business development, and/or Sales Desk experience.
  • Strong knowledge of cash management and lending products including bank deposits, credit cards, and residential mortgage products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand the financial needs of retail brokerage clientele.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or relevant work experience.

  • Experience in understanding the financial needs of all types of clients.
  • Software proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated positive initiative and leadership in a fast-paced environment.
