About the position

The Associate Product Analyst at Pennymac plays a crucial role in gathering business requirements that impact technology systems and collaborates with technology partners to develop effective solutions. This position involves participating in organizational analysis to identify current capabilities and opportunities for improvement, ensuring that the mortgage operations align with the company's goals of helping Americans achieve homeownership.

Responsibilities

• Gather business requirements affecting technology systems.
• Engage with technology partners to develop solutions through technology change processes.
• Write and communicate requirements and user stories following standardized Agile framework.
• Work effectively inside a Scrum or Kanban team.
• Collaborate with Tech Leads and UAT to define when user stories are done.
• Coordinate risk assessment and use risk assessment output to help mitigate risks to projects.
• Participate in backlog grooming sessions for ongoing roadmap planning.
• Execute on test scripts developed in design and implementation phases.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
• Demonstrate behaviors aligned with the organization's desired culture and values.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years of Agile experience or relevant coursework required.
• Data analysis experience a plus.
• Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, or other BI tools a plus.
• Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred.
