About the position

The Associate Product Designer - AI role at BetterUp focuses on creating intuitive and user-centered experiences for AI-enhanced coaching and development. This position is part of a design team that is pioneering human transformation at scale, transitioning from a multi-product company to a sophisticated platform. The designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape how users interact with AI technologies, ensuring that the human touch remains central to the experience.

Responsibilities

• Transform complex AI capabilities into intuitive, user-centered experiences
• Prototype and iterate on novel AI interactions across our product portfolio
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Contribute fresh perspectives to our product innovation pipeline
• Help establish design patterns for AI-human interactions
• Work alongside experienced designers to elevate our craft

Requirements

• 2+ years of Product Design experience with a portfolio showcasing high-quality visual design and novel interactions
• Prototyping abilities and a track record of bringing ideas to life using a variety of tools (Origami, Play, etc.)
• History of self-initiated projects that showcase curiosity and creativity
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive projects forward
• Strong visual design skills with attention to detail and craft
