We continue to transform the industry year over year, by deploying a suite of software solutions to millions of customers every day - customers who depend on DAT for the most relevant data and most accurate insights to help them make smarter business decisions and run their companies more profitably. We operate the largest marketplace of its kind in North America, with 400 million freights posted in 2022, and a database of $150 billion of annual global shipment market transaction data. Our headquarters are in Denver, CO, with additional offices in Missouri, Oregon, and Bangalore, India. DAT is seeking an Associate User Experience Designer to join our fantastic Product and UX team based in Denver, Colorado. We're looking for a talented Associate UX designer to join our team at DAT. In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers to build new analytics products so our customers can better understand and make decisions in the freight market. You will assist in the design process, from research and wireframing to prototyping and final design, contributing to a product that helps our customers efficiently do their jobs daily. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills across the entire product design lifecycle. The ideal candidate wants to learn from a dynamic, fast-moving team of top-notch designers and product professionals. Successful candidates will possess an open mindset, actively seeking and welcoming constructive feedback as an opportunity for continuous improvement and professional development.

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions, workshops, and design reviews to contribute new ideas and feedback.
  • Support the development of user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
  • Solicit feedback early and often from stakeholders, customers, and engineers, fearlessly and quickly iterating on unpolished hand sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to explore customer needs and the solution space.
  • Assist with updating and maintaining the DAT design system, style guides, and pattern libraries.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to bring fresh ideas to the team.

Requirements

  • 0-3 years of experience designing for web and mobile applications
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred, or relevant work and/or education experience

  • Fluency with mobile technologies and interactions.
  • Proficiency in design and rapid prototyping tools like Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite.
