About the position

The Associate Product Developer at Victoria's Secret is responsible for coordinating the development and execution of products from design intent to production. This role involves creating and maintaining development documents and reports to ensure that timelines are met, while also tracking samples and collaborating with regional and cross-functional partners to ensure product accuracy and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the development and execution of product from design intent to production.
  • Create and maintain development documents and reports to ensure timeframes are met.
  • Track and check in samples, ensuring the system is updated by region.
  • Own the accuracy of information and work with regions to get estimated times of arrival (ETAs).
  • Create and distribute weekly reports on sample tracking.
  • Conduct risk assessments and troubleshoot issues related to samples.
  • Check samples for accuracy and work with regional and cross-functional partners on quality call outs.
  • Prioritize samples by level of importance and request proto, color, and sheerness samples in the system.
  • Organize color sample pass offs to regions/vendors and send development packages/Tech Packs to regions.
  • Track sent packages and log in with arrival details.
  • Attend weekly Cross Functional Team meetings and maintain/update weekly agendas.
  • Assist/train new hires during the onboarding phase.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business/product development or related area or equivalent experience.
  • 1 - 3 years of related experience in product development or business.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and result-driven communication skills with business partners.
  • Keen written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Basic knowledge of Flex PLM and Salesforce preferred.
  • Ability to be a team player and foster a commitment to teamwork.
  • Ability to communicate design aesthetic direction to vendors/regional offices.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of garment construction.
