About the position

The Associate Product Developer role is a pivotal position within a private label business, designed to facilitate collaboration among Design, Sales, and Production teams. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth in the product development field, requiring strong analytical skills, creative thinking, and a keen understanding of market trends. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison, ensuring effective communication and follow-up with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Keep track of customer T&As, POs, Confirmations, Targets & Projections, Costing Sheets, Development Deadlines.
  • Communicate with customers and serve as a main contact for follow-up.
  • Strategize with cross-functional partners in Design & Merch to align with customer calendars.
  • Help manage cross-functional meetings, including preparing related documents and managing calendar invites.
  • Access customer 3rd party systems to pull POs, Tech Packs, and other required documents.
  • Be responsive and available for customer calls to work through issues and relay information to cross-functional teams.
  • Follow up until issues are resolved.
  • Prepare seasonal kickoff documents for each company, serving as references for design teams.
  • Perform store visits to all customers' stores at least once a month and provide pictures for store reports.
  • Stay up to date on retail happenings and report significant marketplace events.
  • Assist in preparing reports for corporate initiatives such as sustainability efforts and quarterly earnings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and related experience.
  • Passion for the retail/fashion world and current trends.
  • Self-starter with ownership of required tasks.
  • An eye for product and trends.
  • Understanding of retail analytics and financial metrics.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with customers and cross-functional partners.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Canva, Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Google Drive.
