About the position

The Associate Product Developer at Goldbug plays a crucial role in supporting the Product Development team by managing the product lifecycle from initial concept to final production. This position involves collaboration with vendors and factories, ensuring quality and adherence to brand standards while maintaining accurate documentation throughout the process.

Responsibilities

  • Create product documentation using Centric PLM system and other tools to communicate product expectations to manufacturing partners.
  • Manage the product development process via PLM throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Maintain clear records of all product and component documentation and filing using time management and organizational skills.
  • Work directly with factories and Goldbug assets overseas to relay product comments.
  • Review samples and document product changes, approvals, and drops via PLM, communicating these to cross-functional teams.
  • Assist in preparation for meetings by organizing samples, submits, and merch guides.
  • Support the development team with accurate, timely, and professional communication.
  • Participate in fittings while maintaining clear analysis, documentation, communication, and adherence to fit intent and standards.
  • Assist with measurement and fit of all product samples utilizing construction specs and size charts provided by the tech team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in product development or technical design preferred.
  • 2+ years of product development experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Illustrator, and PLM.
  • Knowledge in patternmaking including grading, construction, and fit.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally if needed.

  • Ability to quickly problem solve, be self-motivated, and have a strong sense of urgency.

  • Flexibility and availability to take early morning or evening calls with overseas teams.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with overseas teams despite language barriers.
