About the position

The Associate Product Developer at Kontoor Brands plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between the Brand and Supply Chain, ensuring high-quality product execution that aligns with design aesthetics while meeting margin goals. This position involves managing the product development process, overseeing sampling accuracy, and ensuring timely execution from initial design to final production.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Pattern/Tech Design to create accurate technical specification packages and collaborate with Fabric/Wash teams to develop quality, cost-effective products.
• Organize garment sampling orders and manage product approval submissions from suppliers to meet deadlines, tracking all development and sampling activities.
• Evaluate and submit accurate product costing in line with calendar milestones and margin goals, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Partner with Design on seasonal line development to ensure alignment with product aesthetic and intent, managing final Line Sheets for production.
• Streamline workflow processes and tools for optimal execution accuracy, reducing lead times and costs, while supporting new business system management.
• Identify and assess mill sources/vendor partners that align with product strategies to enable growth and innovation.

Requirements

• 3+ years' experience in Apparel product development/sourcing/manufacturing
• 3+ years' experience in the apparel industry, particularly in Denim
• Experience in medium-large companies interacting with cross-functional teams
• University degree or equivalent
• High proficiency with MS Office applications (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Word)
• Efficient time management and ability to multi-task while meeting deadlines
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Result-driven, service-oriented team player with a strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
