About the position

The Associate Product Developer at REVOLVE plays a crucial role in the Owned Brand division, collaborating closely with the Design team to ensure the successful execution of garment development from concept through production. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills to manage day-to-day development tasks, maintain product quality, and adhere to cost parameters while thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate daily with manufacturers to ensure product specifications, quality standards, and deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate approval of wash/trim/color details between design and vendors.
  • Maintain data accuracy across all platforms and departments.
  • Attend fittings to ensure product is on calendar and within cost parameters and problem-solve when issues arise.
  • Allocate product against manufacturers for optimal execution, maintaining proper vendor capacities.
  • Negotiate FOB cost and effectively consolidate suppliers for cost leverage.
  • Act as liaison between R&D and Design to ensure fabric MOQs and costs are within targets.
  • Cultivate and train assistants, refining their development process.
  • Manage and own WIPs and costing processes for a specific brand/category from concept through production.
  • Independently own calendar deadlines and product development from concept to TOP phase.
  • Be the main point of contact and communicator between all cross-functional departments: Buying, R&D, Design, Tech, Supply Chain, and Purchasing.
  • Complete ad-hoc tasks and assignments as directed by management.

Requirements

  • 4+ years' experience in a similar role.
  • Work experience with overseas vendors.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and knowledge of CAD is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Internet research.
  • Solution-oriented and critical thinker.
  • Deadline-focused and goal-driven.
  • Ability to perform efficiently with tight deadlines.
  • Team player with the ability to multitask.

Nice-to-haves

  • Degree in Fashion, Product Development, or a similar field.
  • Strong fabric knowledge.
  • Experience with costing and overseas vendor communication.
