As an Associate Product Development Manager, you will work closely with the Senior Manager, Creative and Art Director to help guide creative on multiple games at various stages of development. You will help maintain and elevate our quality and brand standards by providing creative guidance and brand feedback on all aspects of each game throughout the entire development process. Your role will involve providing creative support and guidance for multiple games in various stages of development and live operations to ensure Marvel authenticity and gaming excellence across our portfolio of mobile, console, PC, and VR games. You will partner with art and product development teams to route assets and consolidate stakeholder feedback on product direction, game design, scripts, in-game assets and text, copy, and marketing materials to ensure accuracy and brand authenticity. Additionally, you will assist in developing and leading Marvel Games' internal brand tools and resources, assess creative risks, and recommend mitigation solutions that ensure our games meet or exceed all product goals. Conducting project research on topics including Marvel characters, plotlines, story arcs, and costumes will also be part of your responsibilities. You will play, dissect, and analyze games to provide clear and actionable feedback on their gaming appeal and market readiness, while maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the Marvel brand across multiple media including comics, film, television, and games.

Responsibilities

  • Provide creative support and guidance for multiple games in various stages of development and live operations.

  • Assess creative risks and recommend mitigation solutions.
  • Conduct project research on Marvel characters, plotlines, story arcs, and costumes.

  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the Marvel brand across multiple media.
  • Prioritize, curate, and preserve reference materials from comics.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in comics or game development, publishing, or partnership management positions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide clear, concise, and actionable feedback.
  • Proficient and passionate about current trends in gaming, including mobile, console, PC, VR, and competitive gaming.
  • Authentic love for all things Marvel, with a deep understanding of Marvel lore.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in creative development or publishing roles in the AAA PC, Console, or Mobile game space.
