About the position

The Associate Product Line Manager for Headwear is responsible for maintaining accurate product information across various platforms, including forecasts, pricing, and product imaging. This role supports Product Line Managers in line planning and ensures quality content across channels. The position also involves creating and managing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for product management processes, maximizing existing programs, and developing new business opportunities. Regular communication with relevant teams regarding line development and seasonal performance is essential, along with managing relationships with sublicensees and external partners. Some travel may be required for sales meetings and tradeshows.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate information across all product platforms including forecasts, pricing, product IDs, and imaging.
  • Support Product Line Managers with line planning and cross matrix accountabilities.
  • Create and manage SOPs for all aspects of the product management process and calendar.
  • Assist in maximizing existing programs and developing new business opportunities.
  • Provide regular communication to relevant teams regarding line development and seasonal performance.
  • Assist with relationship and product management of sublicensees and external partners.
  • Travel for sales meetings, account meetings, and tradeshows as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Merchandising, or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • 2 years of experience in retail or wholesale is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workload, adapt to change, and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Product merchandising/creation experience of 0 - 2 years.
  • Strong understanding of merchandising retail math and financial skills.
  • Moderate experience with fashion, color, and trend analysis.
  • Understanding of the product creation process is a plus.
  • Moderate skill level in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with data warehouses and database management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Sports fan is a plus.
