About the position

The Associate Product Line Manager (APLM) at Fanatics Brands Operations plays a crucial role in supporting the creation of consumer products for specific brands or leagues, particularly in custom apparel. This position involves collaboration with various teams to translate consumer insights into actionable merchant line plans, aiming to achieve seasonal revenue, margin, and inventory goals while enhancing sales and profitability through analytical and process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate information across all product platforms including forecasts, pricing, product IDs, and imaging.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on company proprietary systems, partnering with merchandising operations.
  • Support Product Line Managers with line planning and cross-matrix accountabilities at the channel, league, or assortment level, focusing on content quality.
  • Assist in the creation and management of SOPs for all aspects of the product management process and calendar.
  • Maximize existing programs and develop new business opportunities with the Product Management team and cross-matrix partners.
  • Provide regular communication to relevant cross-functional teams regarding line development, season performance, changes in forecast, and product maintenance.
  • Assist with relationship and product management of sublicensees and external partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Merchandising or equivalent experience.
  • 0-2 years of product merchandising/creation experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in retail or wholesale is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workload, adapt to change, and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Strong understanding of merchandising retail math/financial skills.
  • Moderate experience with fashion, color, and trend analysis.
  • Understanding of the product creation process is a plus.
  • Moderate skill level in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as familiarity with data warehouses and database management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sports merchandising or as a sports fan is a plus.
