About the position

The Associate Product Manager for iOS and Android Development at NBCUniversal will play a crucial role in defining product requirements to enhance the streaming experience on mobile platforms. This position involves collaboration with various teams to identify customer needs and market opportunities, ensuring the delivery of a best-in-class product. The role is ideal for individuals passionate about entertainment and e-commerce, looking to contribute to a dynamic and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Define and develop requirements for iOS and Android features, including content discovery, search, purchase flow, and playback.
  • Collaborate with senior product team members, Engineering, Program Management, UX/Product Design, and Research.
  • Assist in identifying customer needs, tech trends, and market opportunities to evolve the product.
  • Write detailed requirements for the Engineering team and QA.
  • Manage and prioritize work, ensuring effective communication with Engineering.
  • Guide projects from inception through launch and post-launch iteration.
  • Monitor performance metrics to assess product success.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Fandango at Home technology and the differences between iOS and Android platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 to 3 years of product experience, ideally in a digital media, entertainment, or e-commerce role.
  • Strong technical, UX, or business background.
  • Ability to conceptualize, manage, and optimize product features throughout their lifecycle.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment while maintaining a positive, professional tone across departments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with mobile and/or TV app development.
  • Knowledge of Apple and Google developer guidelines.
  • Experience in tracking feature performance through dashboards and reports.
  • Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Willingness to take ownership and drive prioritization.
  • Adaptability to change and ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with Scrum and agile software development processes, including epics and stories, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and estimation.
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
  • Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Passion for or knowledge of entertainment, streaming, and video on demand.
