About the position

The Associate Product Manager for Order Management and Customer Training will play a crucial role in enhancing the digital customer experience at Insulet. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to develop new products and optimize existing capabilities throughout the customer journey. The individual will be responsible for defining and executing the product roadmap, prioritizing the feature backlog, and ensuring that customer needs are met through innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with the Product Manager and business stakeholders to define and prioritize the team's feature backlog.
  • Collaborates with the Product Marketing Manager to understand the Insulet customer journey and product launch strategies.
  • Deeply understands customer needs, measures product performance, and delivers insights for product improvements.
  • Evaluates business problems and desired outcomes, breaking down complex experiences to deliver digital improvements iteratively.
  • Develops process flows to illustrate the impact on operations due to new or improved capabilities.
  • Defines features with acceptance criteria, dependencies, assumptions, risks, and success metrics.
  • Works closely with technical architects for high-level work estimation and solution designs.
  • Provides input into release timelines and investigates alternate paths for potential timing options.
  • Drives scope tradeoff evaluations on feature implementation.
  • Participates in usability studies to bring the voice of the customer to the team.
  • Supports the Product Manager with business case development for new opportunities and product improvements.
  • Partners with Solution Leads to ensure design and development consistency across teams.
  • Supports software/vendor selection processes when necessary.
  • Serves as the first escalation point for Product Owners of delivery teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Relevant experience using Agile methodologies within a product team.
  • Knowledgeable of IT systems development strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Web and CRM platforms strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with audiences of various technical backgrounds.
  • Experience using data and user insights to inform product decisions.
  • Experience in digital customer experience/success is preferred.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to function in a fast-paced, growth industry.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the Medical Device industry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Proactive communication with various stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated abilities to leverage creativity to overcome obstacles.
