About the position

The Associate Product Manager will join the Seattle product development team at red violet, focusing on solving complex problems in identity verification, fraud, risk mitigation, and financial services. This role involves collaborating with engineering teams to define product requirements, ensuring high-quality software delivery, and driving the product roadmap in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of product requirements by partnering with business owners to define and break them down for engineering execution.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure high-quality software solutions are shipped on spec and on time.
  • Ensure last mile excellence by collaborating with engineering, QA, and product support teams to drive customer impact.
  • Define and drive the product roadmap in collaboration with Executive Management, Product Management, and Sales.
  • Refine processes for product delivery in partnership with project management.
  • Foster a cohesive team culture through collaboration with colleagues.
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner or in relevant Product Management roles.
  • Experience working with smaller, fast-paced engineering teams, ideally in a startup environment.
  • Familiarity with multiple development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and their real-world applications.
  • Direct experience breaking down requirements for engineering teams in Agile methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication and project management skills with a customer-focused delivery approach.
  • Experience with Web/Mobile applications and REST APIs, including integration tools like Postman/Swagger.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead independent and talented teams.
  • Deep understanding of software development and the role of product ownership in driving product requirements.
  • Ability to quickly understand technical implementations and integration points.
  • Previous experience in project/program management is a plus.
  • Industry experience in identity verification, public sector, or financial services is a plus.
