About the position

As an Associate Product Manager at Thomson Reuters, you will play a vital role in enhancing user experiences by collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement strategies that align with customer needs. This position emphasizes a customer-first approach and requires significant interaction with various stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of product features and improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze business requirements to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, and customer support.
  • Define sprint goals and guide junior team members in translating customer requirements into functional specifications.
  • Create complex use cases, process models, and flowcharts to direct engineering teams.
  • Ensure completeness of business requirements documents (BRDs) and user stories with acceptance criteria.
  • Research and analyze existing requirements-gathering processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review survey and interview results with the UI/UX team to ensure customer-first requirements development.
  • Collect feedback from Sales, Success, and Support teams on features.
  • Communicate changes and enhancements of business requirements to stakeholders.
  • Sign off on QA test cases and monitor results.
  • Participate in bug triage and prioritize issues for engineering teams.
  • Ensure completeness of UAT test cases and monitor UAT progress.
  • Perform competitive analysis and channel gaps into product backlog items.
  • Participate in Scrum team retrospectives to improve processes.
  • Collaborate with support teams to resolve support tickets.
  • Work closely with engineers and QA to resolve product bugs.
  • Document help articles, release notes, and FAQs with Technical Writers.
  • Mentor junior team members to foster a positive work environment.
  • Organize and prioritize responsibilities and deadlines.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in Product Management.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work with large teams in a cross-functional environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology.
  • Working knowledge of product development architecture.
  • Knowledge of Atlassian products like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong MS Office skills.
  • Technical background is a plus.
