About the position

The Associate Product Manager at Boot Barn plays a crucial role in managing the product development process from inception to production. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in the apparel industry, particularly in a private label environment. The Associate Product Manager will work closely with sourcing agents and factory personnel to ensure quality and timely delivery of products, while also fostering strong relationships with vendors and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the process from Development through Production.
• Work directly with sourcing agents and factory personnel to ensure materials and samples are managed properly.
• Manage production timelines as needed.
• Assist early in the development process to manage pre-allocation of styles.
• Track all prototypes, pre-production, advertising, and TOP samples.
• Assist in the management of placement of Purchase Orders.
• Monitor production status of all programs by season.
• Manage WIP (Work In Progress) effectively.
• Collect WIPs from all vendors and communicate with factories regarding WIP as directed by the Product Manager.
• Build strong working relationships with vendors and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• 3-4+ years of experience in a private brand environment.
• Experience working with Asian/Indian suppliers and factories specializing in apparel manufacturing.
• Strong communication, customer service, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and adept at problem-solving.
• Effective communication skills via video conference, email, phone, and in person.
