About the position

The Associate Product Manager at Eaton's Electrical division plays a crucial role in managing product information and supporting the launch and maintenance of the Online UPS portfolio. This position involves collaboration with the Product Manager to develop product specifications, sales materials, and competitive analysis, while also acting as a technical expert to assist sales and support teams. The role requires effective communication of market trends and customer feedback to various stakeholders, as well as updating technical documents and managing product registrations in SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Develop product information, application data, and web content for the 1Ph Online UPS product lines.
  • Research competitors and develop competitive comparison analysis for sales and partners, highlighting Eaton's product strengths.
  • Act as a technical expert to support sales and support teams on customer opportunities and escalations.
  • Communicate market trends and assist with Voice of Customer research in coordination with the Product Manager.
  • Update website and technical documents to reflect new product offerings and create tools for product selection.
  • Assist product managers, channel marketing, and marketing team on messaging and promotions.
  • Register products for sale in SAP and make updates to existing products as needed.
  • Attend 2-3 shows/partner events a year to assist in communicating the product line and building relationships.
  • Field escalated technical inquiries and provide timely responses to the Technical Support Team.
  • Interface with engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing on product changes or issue resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution.
  • 2 years of sales, engineering, program management, sales or marketing professional experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Technical knowledge of single-phase UPS systems.
  • Understanding of PROLaunch Product Development process or similar stage gate process.
  • Experience with SAP, Enovia, and Office 365 Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with PCM and/or PDH (Product Data Hub) for updating product information.
