About the position

The role is for an entrepreneurial product marketer at SMBC, tasked with driving the marketing strategy for key financial products in a 100% digital bank environment. The position involves developing multi-channel marketing plans, executing consumer-facing campaigns, and collaborating with various teams to ensure successful product launches and customer acquisition. The marketer will play a crucial role in defining market research projects and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while working in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute end-to-end GTM strategy for product areas, including messaging, positioning, launch planning, acquisition channels, and customer adoption.
  • Lead development and execution of ongoing mail/digital customer campaigns and testing initiatives for the target segment.
  • Collaborate with Product teams to understand total business performance and identify new opportunities to adjust marketing strategies to achieve KPIs.
  • Influence internal decision makers with formal recommendations and informal networking through excellent communication.
  • Serve as marketing lead and key liaison with cross-functional teams for creative socialization & approvals.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the customer acquisition funnel, personas, and use cases to drive marketing asset development.
  • Define market research and customer intelligence projects to harvest insights and inform campaigns.
  • Synthesize marketing trends, competitive landscape, and macro external factors to identify new strategic recommendations.
  • Work with marketing team members to connect martech capabilities to marketing possibilities across targeting, creative, and experience journeys.
  • Lead and manage creative processes, working with internal creative teams and agency partners, and writing effective creative briefs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of marketing experience, preferably in financial services or another heavily regulated industry.
  • Experience marketing new products and/or overseeing product launches.
  • Excellent project management skills with a history of successfully driving projects from inception to completion.
  • Experience in fast-paced growth environments.
  • Experience working in a remote or hybrid environment, with proficiency in digital tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and experience using cloud-based documentation.
  • Working knowledge of CMS platforms and cloud-based customer engagement platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
