The Associate Product Safety and Quality Analyst will collaborate closely with the Product Safety and Quality Analysts to support the development, documentation, execution, and review of Quality and Product Safety testing for Exclusive Brands (EB) product development. This role involves assisting in the creation, review, and editing of testing specifications for products supplied to the company by both domestic and international vendors, which may include food, beverage, supplements, body care, and household products. The analyst will manage day-to-day communication with suppliers and the internal company team, ensuring timely follow-up on project correspondences and monitoring project activity timelines and due dates. In this position, the analyst will work daily within the Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) system to update product specifications and ensure the accuracy of project activities and timelines. A proactive approach is essential as the analyst will assist the Testing & Product Quality teams in prioritizing and completing project work according to established timelines. Providing technical assistance to vendors is also a key responsibility, ensuring that testing is relevant, specifications are accurate, and overall project success is achieved. The analyst will evaluate and summarize test results, technical document specifications, and other supporting documentation, such as shelf-life validations and technical literature, to support product testing development, product launch approval, and product maintenance. Additionally, the role includes reviewing product label art for adherence to claims and other product attributes in accordance with technical specifications, as well as reviewing pre-production and first production testing results for compliance with internal requirements. Any out-of-specification results or significant vendor specification changes will need to be escalated to a Product Safety and Quality Analyst for review. The analyst will also track and trend testing results and non-conformances using spreadsheets, PLM, or Quality Management Systems (QMS) as determined by current processes. Special projects related to Testing and Product Quality may also be assigned as needed, and the analyst may assist the Compliance and Nutrition Analyst with the review and interpretation of nutritional testing results.
