About the position

The Associate Product Safety and Quality Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the Quality and Product Safety testing development, documentation, execution, and review for Exclusive Brands (EB) product development. This position involves collaborating closely with Product Safety and Quality Analysts to ensure that products supplied to the company by both domestic and international vendors meet the necessary safety and quality standards. The analyst will assist in the creation, review, and editing of testing specifications for a diverse range of products, including food, beverages, supplements, body care, and household items. In this role, the analyst will manage day-to-day communications with suppliers and the internal company team, ensuring timely follow-ups on project correspondences and monitoring project activity timelines and due dates. The analyst will utilize the Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) system daily to update product specifications and maintain the accuracy of project activities and timelines. Proactive assistance to the Testing & Product Quality teams will be essential, as the analyst will help prioritize and complete project work according to established timelines. The analyst will also provide technical assistance to vendors to ensure testing relevancy, specification accuracy, and overall project success. Evaluating and summarizing test results, technical document specifications, and other supporting documentation, such as shelf-life validations and technical literature, will be key to supporting product testing development, product launch approval, and product maintenance. Additionally, the analyst will review product label art for adherence to claims and other product attributes, ensuring compliance with internal requirements during pre-production and first production testing. Any out-of-specification results or significant vendor specification changes will be escalated to a Product Safety and Quality Analyst for further review. The analyst will track and trend testing results and non-conformances using spreadsheets, PLM, or Quality Management Systems (QMS) as determined by current processes. The role may also involve assisting in special projects related to Testing and Product Quality, and potentially supporting the Compliance and Nutrition Analyst with nutritional testing results review and interpretation.
