About the position

The successful candidate will be joining a highly interactive and collegial group of faculty with a strong teaching program for the Medical School and the School of Health Professions in the Department of Surgery, Division of Anatomy. Teaching responsibilities will include participation in lectures, cadaveric dissection laboratory, active learning sessions, and student assessment in Human Gross Anatomy. Dissections take place in a new, state-of-the-art teaching laboratory, which provides the optimal learning environment. The laboratory is equipped with down-draft tables and an advanced AV system, which allows for the integration of digital content, such as radiographic images, videos, and electronic atlases. The design of the space supports collaboration and teamwork amongst the learners. The candidate is expected to participate in collaborative research within their area of expertise and/or the scholarship of teaching and learning and contribute to the generation of new knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in lectures and cadaveric dissection laboratory for Human Gross Anatomy.

Requirements

  • MD or PhD in Anatomy or a related field.
  • Experience in teaching Human Gross Anatomy at the graduate level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
