About the position
The School of Nursing at Ball State University is seeking applications for a senior-level, tenure-line faculty position as an Associate Professor or Professor of Nursing, starting in August 2025. This full-time, on-campus role involves teaching undergraduate and graduate nursing courses and conducting health research. Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate nursing courses.
- Conduct health research in the area of nursing specialization.
- Engage in meaningful service activities to multiple communities.
- Collaborate with diverse faculty, staff, and students.
- Integrate technology into nursing education.
Requirements
- Earned baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
- Earned master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
- Earned doctorate in nursing or a related field from an accredited institution by date of appointment.
- Clinical nursing experience in area of assigned teaching.
- Six months of nursing practice experience in the U.S.
- Ability to meet deadlines, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with diverse faculty, staff, and students.
- Ability to learn and use new technologies, software, and platforms.
Nice-to-haves
- At least one semester of teaching experience in higher education.
- Ability to integrate technology in nursing education.
- Current clinical practice as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) and national board certification.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and/or maintain a program of research.
