About the position

The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania is seeking an Associate Professor for a tenure track position. The role focuses on the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in the analysis of biomedical signals and imaging, particularly in relation to epilepsy and traumatic brain injury. The successful candidate will engage in teaching, research, and collaboration within the field, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and practice in neurological disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Teach graduate students, residents, and post-doctoral fellows in AI and ML as it applies to biomedical signal processing and imaging analysis.
  • Develop an independent research program related to AI/ML with a focus on neuroimaging.
  • Supervise postdoctoral fellows, students, and research staff in research activities.
  • Coordinate collaborative research projects with local, national, and international collaborators.
  • Participate in writing grants, reports, and manuscripts.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. degree in a relevant field.
  • Expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, particularly in biomedical signal processing and imaging analysis.
