About the position

The Associate Program Manager in the Office of Professional Well-Being at Ochsner Clinic Foundation is responsible for leading strategic projects aimed at improving engagement and reducing burnout among physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs). This role involves managing projects throughout their lifecycle, developing communication strategies, and providing training and coaching to organizational leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Actively leads project efforts through the entire project lifecycle including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring & controlling, and closing.
  • Enables an effective project communication strategy through active communications with project stakeholders and the program manager.
  • Serves as instructor for strategic program management training programs.
  • Conducts coaching/consulting engagements leveraging project management, change management, and process improvement core capabilities.
  • Performs operational work as needed through the Office of Professional Well-Being.
  • Completes other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, finance, public health, health care administration or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in relevant fields such as Healthcare Operations, Finance, Industrial Engineering, and/or Organizational Development including 1 year of project management/change management/process improvement/healthcare experience, or 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent judgment.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work independently and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Engineering, business administration, finance, public health, health care administration or related field.
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification or equivalent (Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Black Belt or Master Change Agent).
