The Associate Program Manager at HCA Healthcare is a pivotal role that combines project management with leadership responsibilities. The Associate Program Manager will oversee a team of project management professionals, ensuring that projects are executed effectively from initiation through deployment, while also mentoring colleagues and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the management of high visibility and complex projects across multiple organizations.
  • Identify methods to improve project management capabilities and processes.
  • Manage a group of direct reports responsible for interrelated projects and programs.
  • Guide the development of program structures that align with organizational goals.
  • Ensure effective staffing and oversight of projects from initiation to deployment.
  • Cultivate a motivating environment to enhance team performance.
  • Collaborate in recruitment processes to select high-quality candidates.
  • Define individual career development plans for employees and track their progress.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and maintain regular communication with team members.
  • Direct large-scale projects involving cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Develop and oversee financial forecasts and manage project expenditures.
  • Lead risk and issues management processes to mitigate project risks.
  • Define and track project milestones and maintain an integrated delivery plan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 5 or more years of experience in a Project Management role.
  • 5 or more years of experience in Healthcare (preferred).
  • 5 or more years of experience in Information Technology (preferred).
  • 5 or more years of experience with Microsoft Office products (preferred).
  • PMP certification (preferred).
  • Agile Project Management and Scrum certification (preferred).
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in financial management and risk management.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in mentoring and coaching team members.
