About the position

The Associate Project Manager - Land Acquisitions at Olsson is responsible for supporting clients in acquiring real estate and property rights necessary for expansion and capacity projects. This role involves researching property ownership, preparing agreements and deeds, creating maps, and negotiating with landowners. The position requires managing small to medium-sized projects independently while balancing priorities and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Research property ownership and prepare various agreements and deeds.
  • Create and update maps, exhibits, and KMZ files depicting acquisitions.
  • Track the progress of acquisitions through various databases and matrices.
  • Contact and negotiate directly with landowners.
  • Travel to inspect projects and meet with landowners as required.
  • Manage small to medium-sized projects independently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate acquisitions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Ability to research public land records and prepare agreements and deeds.
  • Experience with survey and title services and ability to interpret them as they relate to acquisitions.
  • Experience reviewing engineering design plans related to acquisitions.
  • Knowledge of URA guidelines and experience with projects involving federal funding.
  • Ability to obtain a notary public and/or real estate license in Missouri, Arkansas, and other states as needed.
