About the position

The Associate Project Manager - Land Acquisitions at Olsson is responsible for supporting clients in acquiring real estate and property rights necessary for expansion and capacity projects. This role involves researching property ownership, preparing agreements and deeds, creating maps, and negotiating with landowners. The position requires managing small to medium-sized projects independently and balancing multiple priorities, with travel required to inspect projects and meet landowners.

Responsibilities

• Research property ownership and prepare various agreements and deeds.
• Create and update maps, exhibits, and kmz files depicting acquisitions.
• Track the progress of acquisitions through various databases and matrices.
• Contact and negotiate directly with landowners.
• Manage small to medium-sized projects independently.
• Balance priorities effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate acquisitions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Ability to research public land records and prepare agreements and deeds.
• Experience with survey and title services and ability to interpret them as they apply to acquisitions.
• Experience reviewing engineering design plans related to acquisitions.
• Ability to obtain a notary public and/or real estate license in Missouri, Arkansas, and other states as needed.
• Familiarity with URA guidelines and federal funding projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in project management within real estate acquisitions.
• Knowledge of local land use regulations and zoning laws.
