About the position

The Associate Project Manager at Hitachi Energy will lead the execution of small to medium-sized projects within the Green Energy & Mobility segment. This role is crucial for ensuring that all project activities align with company policies, contractual agreements, and quality standards while meeting financial and schedule commitments. The position involves close collaboration with various departments and stakeholders to achieve project deliverables and maintain compliance with customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
  • Define project plans, including scope and financial plans, in collaboration with Finance, Quality, Engineering, and Planning departments.
  • Provide performance feedback regarding allocated resources working on projects.
  • Achieve project deliverables and compliance with contract requirements as defined with the PM team.
  • Support the PM team in all aspects of the project to ensure technical, safety, quality, and financial targets are met.
  • Coordinate with the Supply Chain team to procure required services, materials, and equipment for the project.
  • Monitor each stage of project implementation to ensure best practices in scope control, cost control, resource efficiency, risk management, health and safety, and the environment.
  • Oversee project invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow.
  • Identify, qualify, quantify, manage, and mitigate project risks, ensuring all opportunities are pursued.
  • Ensure the project applies contract and claim management in accordance with Hitachi Energy policies and contractual agreements.
  • Monitor and control project progress with efficient resource utilization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Science in System, digital or similar, Business Management, Administration or equivalent.
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in project management or related fields.
  • CAPM certification is an asset.
  • Experience in management of project scope, cost, schedule, quality, risk, and vendors/subcontractors is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in SAP, MS Project, MS Excel, and other PM tools is beneficial.
  • Experience in customer relations or customer service is an asset.
