About the position

The Associate Project Manager will play a crucial role in assisting Project Management teams with the delivery of capital projects and solutions for clients, ensuring direct accountability for project outcomes. This position involves a significant amount of travel, specifically monthly trips to various locations within Delaware. The projects managed will primarily focus on administrative and retail capital improvements, as well as move management-related initiatives. The Associate Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the Project Management team in overseeing all aspects of project management, which includes budget management, scheduling, procurement, quality assurance, and risk management throughout the lifecycle of individual commercial real estate projects. This encompasses phases such as planning, design, construction, occupancy, and project closeout. In addition to project oversight, the Associate Project Manager will assist with Financial Class A interiors MAC projects, which may involve tasks such as managing office moves, refreshes, restacks, and furniture installations. A key responsibility will be to implement project documentation governance that aligns with both company and client requirements, ensuring that all project data is accurate, timely, and well-coordinated. The role also requires tracking the progress of each project against established goals and objectives, approved budgets, and timelines. The Associate Project Manager will report on project status and variances, crafting action plans as necessary to meet objectives, budgets, and schedules. There may also be opportunities to manage smaller projects and oversee third-party project delivery resources or teams, typically consisting of smaller groups, while being responsible for tracking performance and motivating team members.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Management team to manage all facets of project management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk) for individual commercial real estate projects including planning, design, construction, occupancy and closeout.
  • Assist and support Financial Class A interiors MAC projects including moves, refresh, restacks, furniture, etc.
  • Implement project documentation governance aligned with company and client requirements. Ensure project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely and coordinated.
  • Track progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines. Reports status and variances. Crafts action plans to meet objectives, budget and schedule.
  • May manage smaller projects as assigned. May manage third party project delivery resources/team (typically smaller team) and be responsible for tracking performance and motivating team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and one to three years of architectural or construction background or move management experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • AEC experience should include construction project management, owner's rep or project management experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills and the ability to optimally present information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide efficient, timely, and courteous service to customers.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings.
  • Working understanding in MS Project is helpful.
  • Knowledge of leases, contracts, and construction practices preferred.
