About the position

The Associate Project Manager (APM) plays a crucial role in the execution of projects within the HV Service segment at Hitachi Energy. This position focuses on ensuring the timely delivery and completion of goods or services to customers, with an emphasis on managing accounts receivable and facilitating communication between commercial operations and project management teams.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the commercial operations team to confirm customer and order information is complete and per agreement.
  • Review and audit order handoffs from customers, including contract details and payment terms.
  • Verify order documents and engage with the commercial team during project close-out.
  • Review and confirm service sales order documentation in HE ERP tool (SAP).
  • Verify field service completion dates in the field service scheduling tool (MSA).
  • Facilitate communication between commercial operations and operations teams to support accounts receivable reduction.
  • Manage the accounts receivable list for the HV Service portfolio.
  • Direct the commercial operations and project management teams to ensure timely payments for sales orders.
  • Maintain and reduce overdue payments by collaborating with the finance team.
  • Update service sales order documentation in HE ERP tool (SAP) and verify field service dates in MSA.
  • Confirm product schedules, shipments, and on-time delivery of materials for service sales orders with parts.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the project management team on related project orders and turnkey projects.
  • Communicate directly with customers regarding project updates, scheduling, and close-out documentation.
  • Manage commercial relations with customers regarding shipping, tracking, and delivery questions.
  • Verify all necessary project and order documentation is complete and confirm project finalization.
  • Initiate order and project invoicing and manage the accounts receivable process.

Requirements

  • Strong customer focus and ability to manage multiple project timelines.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with interpersonal and intercultural communication abilities.
  • Experience with SAP and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with project management processes and tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of high voltage products and services is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
