About the position

The Associate Project Operations Coordinator or Project Operations Coordinator at Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is responsible for coordinating the operational aspects of ongoing project work streams. This role serves as a liaison between project management, project teams, and line management to facilitate the execution of work, ensuring that project activities are completed efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate operational project activities and serve as the point of contact for work streams.
  • Engage with internal and external customers and interface with facility groups and departments, including mid/upper management.
  • Conduct field walk downs to verify conditions prior to project implementation and support safety inspections.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for project modifications.
  • Request necessary resources, parts, and paperwork to ensure task readiness and coordinate field work to completion under supervision.
  • Represent the project team in status and integration meetings.
  • Build knowledge of ISMS work steps and stay updated on changing work practices and policies.
  • Review and expedite necessary documents for approval, including design packages and new operating procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical or science discipline, or a high school diploma/GED with practical experience in operations/maintenance or project areas.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to interpret electrical and mechanical documents.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate's degree or higher education in a relevant field.
  • General knowledge of site work control procedures and safety regulations.
  • Experience with schedule integration and resource management.
