About the position

The Associate Project Operations Coordinator or Project Operations Coordinator at Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is responsible for coordinating the operational aspects of ongoing project work streams. This role serves as a liaison between project management, project teams, and line management to facilitate the execution of work. The position involves leading limited operational project activities, maintaining detailed documentation, coordinating resources, and ensuring compliance with safety and technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as work stream leader for limited operational project activities, acting as the point of contact and liaison.
• Coordinate field walk downs to verify conditions prior to project work stream implementation.
• Prepare and maintain detailed scope documentation for project modifications.
• Request necessary resources, parts, and paperwork to ensure task readiness.
• Represent the project team in status and integration meetings.
• Build knowledge of ISMS work steps and stay current on changing work practices.
• Review and expedite documents necessary for work approval.
• Assist in integrating project schedule activities into facility scheduling programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical or science discipline, or a High School Diploma/GED with practical experience in operations/maintenance, project or technical area.
• Ability to understand and interpret electrical and mechanical documents, blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• General knowledge of site work control procedures and work practices for maintenance, operations, construction, and project areas.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred.
