About the position

The Associate Property Manager, Multifamily (Floating) is responsible for maintaining communities to a market-ready standard and ensuring high levels of service. This role involves overseeing operations, managing teams, and enhancing customer satisfaction to maximize property performance.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Regional Property Manager with overall operations of the building.
  • Ensuring the smooth running of the community in a fast-paced environment.
  • Overseeing all operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, audits, etc.
  • Providing superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance customer satisfaction and increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability.
  • Completing lease/renewal paperwork to ensure completion to company standards.
  • Tracking and evaluating advertising and all client traffic.
  • Leading by example and instilling the Cushman & Wakefield mission to be the best national management company.
  • Supervising day-to-day operations of the entire on-site team, ensuring that all policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Maintaining effective on-site staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching as necessary.
  • Maintaining residents' files in accordance with company standards.
  • Maintaining a positive living environment for community residents through prompt conflict resolution and consistent follow-up.
  • Managing and maintaining all aspects of the overall community budget and finances.
  • Working with leasing staff to ensure that leasing/marketing goals are being met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; High School Diploma, GED, Technical or Vocational school required.
  • 3+ years of Property Management experience.
  • 1+ years of Management experience.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation skills.
  • General office, bookkeeping and sales skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Experience in a fast-paced property management environment.
  • Ability to manage a team effectively.
