About the position

The Associate Property Manager for Multifamily properties is responsible for maintaining communities to a market-ready standard while ensuring a high level of service. This role involves overseeing operations, managing teams, and enhancing customer satisfaction to maximize property performance and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Regional Property Manager with overall operations of the building.
  • Ensuring smooth running of the community in a fast-paced environment.
  • Overseeing all operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, and audits.
  • Providing superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction and increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability.
  • Completing lease/renewal paperwork to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Tracking and evaluating advertising and client traffic.
  • Leading by example and modeling the Cushman & Wakefield mission.
  • Supervising day-to-day operations of the on-site team and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining effective on-site staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching.
  • Maintaining residents' files in accordance with company standards.
  • Managing and maintaining all aspects of the community budget and finances.
  • Working with leasing staff to meet leasing/marketing goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; High School Diploma, GED, or Technical/Vocational school required.
  • 3+ years of Property Management experience.
  • 1+ years of Management experience.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation skills.
  • General office, bookkeeping, and sales skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales or marketing within property management.
