Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking Associate Propulsion Engine Integration Assemblers (Level B) to join the Propulsion Team in North Charleston, South Carolina on a Variable Shift! The teammate will be responsible for, but are not limited to, performing tasks in the following areas; locating parts and assemblies; installation of nacelle and engine components, electrical testing of systems, rigging of nacelle components, gap verification & shimming; installation of fasteners; training, process improvement, and Lean/BPS. Primary Responsibilities include performing routine production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, and equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools. The role models a culture of One Team, Pride, and Ownership. The assembler partners with Integrated Build Teams (IBTs) and Team Leader to mitigate performance risk utilizing Systematic Problem Solving (SPS) methodologies. They will identify roadblocks and production constraints, escalating issues which cannot be resolved by the team using open and clear communication. The use of KPI and BPS principles to improve production flow and work environment is essential. The position supports overtime as required to meet customer commitments and participates in Lean Manufacturing Systems (LMS) and 5S activities. Additionally, the assembler supports teammates to improve overall team performance by providing cross-training and mentoring. This position is expected to be 100% onsite, and the selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position must meet export control compliance requirements, necessitating a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R.-120.15.
