About the position

Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks to fill the position of Associate, Python / Perl Dev in Alpharetta, GA. In this role, you will work as an ETL/Database/Python Software Developer, focusing on the design and development of data and machine learning (ML) centric applications at scale. Your responsibilities will include applying your knowledge of data engineering and ML algorithms and frameworks to create robust software solutions. You will engage in software programming and data analysis, contributing to projects that involve credit risk and regulatory reporting. This work is crucial for enabling the monitoring of regulatory credit risk for wealth management lending products and for reporting findings to regulators based on the Basel framework. The position offers a competitive salary range of $163,000 to $200,000 per year, with the final base pay determined on an individualized basis. This salary is part of a comprehensive compensation package that may include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, and other short and long-term incentive packages, along with various Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs. As an Associate, you will be expected to leverage your technical skills and experience to contribute to the success of the team and the organization as a whole.

Responsibilities

  • Perform software design and development of data and ML centric applications at scale.
  • Apply knowledge of data engineering and Machine learning (ML) algorithms and frameworks.
  • Engage in software programming and data analysis.
  • Work on credit risk and regulatory reporting to enable monitoring of regulatory credit risk for wealth management lending products.
  • Report findings to regulators based on the Basel framework.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in the position offered or as an Application Specialist, Computer Programmer, or a related occupation.
  • Five (5) years of experience with ETL and database development.
  • Experience with Informatica, Teradata, and DB2.
  • Experience developing and implementing applications in big data ecosystems, including Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive, and Impala.
  • Proficiency in Scala, Python, SQL, and JIRA.
