About the position

The Associate, QC Microbiology position at Bristol Myers Squibb involves supporting quality control testing for in-process, final product, and stability samples, as well as environmental and facility monitoring. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with quality standards and may involve documentation, investigations, and continuous improvement efforts. The position operates on a B2 shift from Wednesday to Saturday, 02:00 PM to 12:00 AM, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to life-changing work in cell therapy.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine testing of in-process, final product, and stability samples.
• Perform environmental/facilities monitoring and microbiological testing.
• Review GMP documentation and perform data verification.
• Support document revision, project, CAPA, and deviation/investigation related tasks and/or continuous improvement efforts.
• Train analysts on general job duties.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to accurately and completely understand and follow procedures.
• Knowledge of scientific principles related to QC testing and proper use of laboratory equipment.
• Effective communication skills with peers and management regarding task completion, roadblocks, and needs.
• Attention to detail and demonstrated organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, meet deadlines, and prioritize work.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in science; Associate degree with equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
• 0-2+ years of relevant microbiological testing or QC experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in a regulated environment.
• Demonstrated experience with basic laboratory techniques and basic laboratory safety practices.
• Prior experience with microbiological techniques is preferred.
