About the position

The Associate Quality Analyst at Northrop Grumman is responsible for developing and implementing quality plans and procedures to ensure that products meet established company and regulatory standards. This role involves monitoring quality discrepancies, investigating issues, and recommending corrective actions while collaborating with various stakeholders including manufacturing, engineering, and customers. The position is based in Palmdale, CA, and requires a proactive approach to quality assurance in a dynamic aerospace environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control and lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Ensure performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards.
  • Review, analyze, and report on quality discrepancies related to various systems.
  • Investigate problems and develop corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.
  • Interface with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor, and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.
  • Monitor for unsafe practices and support inspection training.
  • Collect and compile documents for FAIR's and other quality-related activities.
  • Support internal, customer, and government audits, including off-site audits of suppliers.
  • Contribute to prevention activities including review of FAIR's and inspection plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of experience.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access.
  • Thorough understanding of data collection and analysis for improvement processes.
  • Initiate, facilitate, and support RCCA activities to improve quality.
  • Prepare documentation of RCCA activities for Quality Engineering review.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with composites or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with DCMA Instruction 8210.
  • Experience briefing senior leadership.
  • 2+ years of audit/surveillance experience.
  • 2+ years of quality evaluation processes and leading RCCA activities.
  • 2+ years building PowerPoint briefings and providing status updates.
  • 2+ years generating, monitoring, and reporting operations and manufacturing metrics.
