About the position

The Associate Regional Director of Operations at VITAS Healthcare is responsible for overseeing the administration and coordination of Home Medical Equipment (HME) programs within a designated region. This role involves ensuring compliance with organizational policies, managing P&L oversight, and developing strong relationships with senior leadership teams. The position requires effective management of HME Managers and Operations Managers, as well as participation in performance improvement initiatives and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and coordinate activities of designated HME programs within the region.
  • Develop strong working relationships with program senior leadership teams.
  • Implement company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee P&L for HME service centers.
  • Direct preparation of short-term and long-range plans based on corporate goals.
  • Manage HME Managers and HME Operations Managers to implement organizational policies.
  • Establish policies for management development and succession planning.
  • Promote communication and information flow within VITAS HME Solutions.
  • Ensure execution of operating policies consistent with VITAS HME objectives.
  • Evaluate overall operations and report results to senior management.
  • Audit operational policies and procedures of each HME Branch location annually.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement initiatives and training programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of five years related experience in a managerial role.
  • Advanced customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications, word processing, spreadsheet, and accounting software.
  • Ability to read and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Strong analytical skills to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
