About the position

The Associate Regional Facility Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Regional Facility Services department, managing vendor programs, supervising the upkeep of restaurant facilities and equipment, and ensuring the implementation of preventative maintenance programs across a designated region. This role involves evaluating maintenance needs, managing budgets, and training management on effective utilization of facility services.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the outsourced vendor selection and retention programs within the region.
  • Oversee daily workflow for all dispatch, equipment, and facilities maintenance services.
  • Solicit and evaluate bids, select and approve recommended vendors, and track updates from restaurants regarding vendor quality and performance.
  • Research and respond to maintenance-related comments and complaints, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Evaluate regional maintenance and repair needs, approve and monitor repair spending and planned capital expenditures.
  • Provide input in capital planning and budgeting, and coordinate support for new restaurant openings and corporate projects.
  • Train management on cost-effective and timely utilization of the Facility Service Department.
  • Regularly update management on cost and inventory management, trend analysis, and service performance.
  • Lead or participate in development teams for facility services programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a Facilities Services role.
  • Experience in an in-house operation preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organization skills.
  • Supervisory and negotiation skills.
  • Good mathematical and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of local, County, and State building codes, and safety and health regulations.
  • Proficient in personal computers and related software applications (word processing, spreadsheets, databases).
  • Basic knowledge of building maintenance activities, including CFC, carpentry, refrigeration, electrical, and food service equipment maintenance.
