About the position

The Associate Regional Manager, Trauma Sales at Johnson & Johnson is responsible for leading the sales strategies and operations for the DePuy Synthes Trauma portfolio in the Austin/San Antonio region. This role focuses on driving sales growth, managing budgets, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective team leadership and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and carry out selling strategies and strategic sales plans to achieve overall DePuy Synthes Trauma sales goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrate product and procedural knowledge, clinical and procedure excellence, and product expertise.
  • Recruit, hire, and retain talented sales professionals for each territory in the Region.
  • Provide ongoing performance management, mentorship, and team development.
  • Drive business results by collaborating with consultants to set and achieve territory objectives.
  • Lead the acquisition of new accounts and surgeon relationships while assisting consultants in penetrating existing accounts.
  • Understand changing market dynamics in healthcare, industry trends, and customer segmentation.
  • Manage a portfolio of products to improve gross profits, profitability, and budget management.
  • Establish relationships with key surgeons, accounts, and associations to identify opportunities.
  • Participate in compliance program-related activities and promote high standards of integrity and ethics.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent required; Business/Marketing/Finance degree preferred; MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of business experience is required; previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability including leading through change.
  • Excellent listening, written & oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to make impactful sales presentations.
  • Clinical and procedure excellence, product expertise, and new product introduction experience.
  • Strong customer understanding and ability to use customer data to drive the buying process.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop field sales talent.
  • Record of accomplishment of success in a complex environment and enterprise mentality decision making.
  • Demonstrated leadership in business planning and project management with documented sales achievements.
