About the position

The Associate/Jr. Regional Sales Manager at LOMA Systems is responsible for identifying, developing, and growing customer accounts within the food and pharmaceutical industries. This role involves actively seeking new opportunities, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring effective communication of customer needs. The position requires a proactive approach to sales and a commitment to delivering high-quality service and support to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Actively seek and develop new opportunities through cold calling, email, trade shows, and trade associations.
  • Identify key accounts in the region and develop action plans to gain exposure and penetration into those businesses.
  • Visit and maintain contact with customers to understand their needs and wants regarding Loma's offerings.
  • Manage account development activities and convert opportunities to closure.
  • Maintain customer accounts in Loma's CRM system to accurately reflect customer status and activity.
  • Become an expert in the application and operation of Loma and Lock products, including PC-based simulations.
  • Execute consultative sales activities focusing on Loma's value differentiators.
  • Gather competitive information and communicate it to management for distribution.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in specifying mechanical systems and instrumentation.
  • Conduct ongoing research to maintain knowledge of the industries and key accounts.
  • Operate independently and conduct business professionally.
  • Participate in trade shows and assist in set-up and tear-down activities.
  • Participate in annual planning to develop growth goals for the region and take ownership of achieving those goals.
  • Travel occasionally outside the region for trade shows or training.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Live in the Greater Dallas, TX Area.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Sales, Business, Marketing, Market Development, Account Management, or similar discipline; industrial capital sales experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and computer skills are required.
  • Successful customer-facing experience in sales and ideally marketing situations is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, commissions, and percentages.
  • Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Positive attitude with customers and co-workers; perseverance after rejection.
  • Good time management, multitasking, and organizational skills.

  • Valid driver's license required; minimum 50% travel is required.
