The Associate Relationship Manager position at Wells Fargo is part of the Banker Development Program, a two-year initiative aimed at cultivating the next generation of bankers in Commercial Banking. This role involves working closely with Senior Relationship Managers to develop essential skills in relationship management, sales, and credit leadership, while engaging in real client situations to support business growth. Participants will receive a combination of formal training and on-the-job experience to prepare them for future roles in the banking sector.

  • Perform a variety of job assignments to develop key skills and gain a working knowledge of the organization.
  • Participate in developing, retaining, and growing low to moderately complex client relationships through relationship management.
  • Engage in structuring, modification, and renewal of cash flow and real estate loans by analyzing financials and coordinating with internal stakeholders.
  • Review and offer the full suite of solutions to commercial clients to meet their risk needs.
  • Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and develop expertise in relevant policies and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with peers and managers to resolve client issues and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Participate in relationship planning activities to maintain sales and pipeline disciplines.
  • Support business development in sourcing new Commercial Banking clients.
  • 2+ years of Commercial Banking Relationship Management or Credit Underwriting experience, or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related business degree.
  • Completion of Commercial Banking Financial Analyst Program is desired.
  • Commercial account relationship management experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of core banking products: deposits, commercial credit, and treasury.
  • Basic understanding of financial accounting and ability to interpret financial statements.
  • Experience with underwriting moderately complex credit and debt structures.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Effective time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • High level of initiative and accountability.
  • Proactive, persistent, organized, and results-oriented.
  • Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Risk Management.
  • Ability to represent Wells Fargo with confidence and clear communication.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
